Job Duties and Responsibilities

This Program Manager will be working directly with the billing system vendor and all internal DISH/Echostar stakeholders and technical teams in our Englewood office. They will be working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment using Lean/Agile methodologies to support an emerging business to deliver value to the organization. They will evaluate and understand complex business problems in order to implement and maintain the solutions that support the strategy.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate regularly with stakeholders to understand their goals, objectives, and timelines

  • Influence the documentation and delivery of business initiatives to solve problems and technical solutions to support the project goals

  • Communicate complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to diverse audiences without deep technical skills

  • Participate in requirements sessions with business sponsors to refine the portfolio vision to clarify value

  • Understand business requirements and business problems to assist in/or represent to the vendor

  • Review the vendor solutions with the business to ensure they meet the stakeholders expectations

  • Collaborate with business sponsors to create a comprehensive roadmap and biller vision

  • Conduct regular roadmap reviews with affected teams and leadership to maintain alignment and meet goals

  • Collaborate with the business and the DISH PMO to negotiate, manage and prioritize the portfolio/Program backlog

  • Understand and collaborate with the PMO or impacted teams on dependencies and communicate to leadership as necessary

  • Perform regular reviews of the incoming initiatives to ensure correct budget and accounting statutes are applied

  • Prepare and manage the billing system budget, process quarterly purchase requests and perform monthly reconciliations to invoice to multiple stakeholder. Escalate any changes or deviations to budget

  • Represent the budget and annual commitment spend with the vendor and the stakeholders and leadership

  • Maintain the vendor release roadmap and share with impacted teams and leadership. Escalate releases that conflict with internal releases

  • Manage vendor releases through internal processes, schedule and run release meetings, provide notifications and obtain release support commitment

  • Escalate release issues to Sr. Management as needed and support to resolution

Skills, Experience and Requirements

A successful Program Manager will have the following:

  • BA/BS in a technical or business discipline (information systems, engineering, computer science, finance, business administration, or accounting)

  • Executive-level communication that encompasses roadmap reviews and presentations

  • 5+ years of combined product management, technical product, and other related experience that includes prior experience launching and/or supporting billing related products and/or services or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with management and program delivery of new product launches end to end

  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivation with strong, proven, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of Go To Market concepts

  • Demonstrated cross-organizational communication across business and technical units

  • Self-starter and ability to figure out a complicated environment

  • JIR experience a plus

  • Create, manage & track the status of Software Change Requests (SCRs) for code changes

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree in Business or similar field from an accredited university

  • Experience with Telecom

  • Experience with billing systems capabilities and operations

  • Experience performing Product Management duties in both large corporate and startup environments

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
