Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Retail Wireless Fraud Analyst is responsible for a high-level fraud review of the DISH Wireless Business. In addition to reviewing and investigating retailer escalations, analysts will review and present complex analyses to the business, compiling information for drawing conclusions and summarizing the findings for management review. The analyst will monitor and respond to current and newly developed operational policies, procedures, and systems among multiple lines of business. This role supports risk management, fraud prevention, and other assignments for the Billing and Credit department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research related to vulnerabilities in various parts of the DISH Wireless Business

  • Analyze current processes and procedures to maintain them or make recommendations to promote more effective operations

  • Responsible for preparing and delivering recommendations to support changes in policies and procedures

  • Assist in the completion of complex projects that are broad in nature by following general guidelines

  • Maintain and apply knowledge of practices and procedures in their area of expertise

  • Create, maintain, analyze, and report complex data sets mainly using Excel or Google spreadsheets

  • Responsible for managing the customer escalation ticketing system, involving retailer escalations

  • Responsible for the onboarding of new retailers through background checks and risk mitigation

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as business or criminal justice preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in fraud detection or investigation, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete all tasks, meeting deadlines and target completion dates

  • Strong customer service skills; approachable, and motivated with a strong work ethic and a high degree of integrity

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.

  • Ability to create, maintain, analyze, and publish data

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as business rules, procedure instructions, and legal documents

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak and present effectively before groups of customers, peers, upper management, and DISH retailers

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • Excel, Google Sheets, SQL (a plus)

  • Background in Fraud

  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
